Biofuels

A fuel produced from living organisms such as crops and microalgae through a biomass conversion. They are often produced in large-scale plantation-style industrial production systems. Biofuels can be divided into first-, second-, third- and fourth-generation categories depending on the source of biomass used.  They can be blended with petrol and diesel for use primarily by motor vehicles.
