INFAPRO Rehabilitation of logged-over dipterocarp forest in Sabah



This project managed by Face the Future and Rakyat Berjaya, aims to rehabilitate 25,000 hectares of severely logged-over mixed dipterocarp rainforest in Sabah and to the prevent short-term re-logging. The INFRAPRO project, which stands for Innoprise Face Foundation Rainforest Rehabilitation Project, is divided into two phases including implementation and a subsequent management phase. The project received validation from the Voluntary Carbon Standard (VCS) in 2011 under the scope of Agriculture, Forestry and Land Use, and has a crediting period of 30 years from 2007 to 2036.
