WOCAN

Summary

Women Organising for Change in Agriculture and Natural Resources (WOCAN) was established in 2004 with the objective to promote:

• policies for gender inclusion within the agriculture and natural resource management sectors;
• the strong role of professional women in implementing policy objectives, by empowering women in rural areas and fighting for gender equality; and
• a change to the organisational barriers that obstruct women from reaching positions of leadership and influence.
