Summary

This report summarizes six participatory national assessments in Vietnam, Sri Lanka, DRC, Brazil, Ghana, and Tanzania. It looks at the policy, regulatory, and institutional obstacles to using forests sustainably, exploring them through seven key elements of governance (laws, institutions, processes, accountability, transparency, participation, and predictability).
