Summary

This manual seeks to assist policy makers and project developers to answer the question: “how do we present complex scientific and economic concepts of climate change and REDD+ to an audience that includes people with limited formal education (if any), and low literacy?”After participating in the activities provided, we hope that many more indigenous people have sufficient knowledge to have informed participation in discussions and decision making about REDD+. This could include the ability to advocate on REDD+ policy, participation in local land use planning, or capacity to negotiate on involvement in local community REDD+ projects with a project developer.
