Ministry of Lands, Natural Resources and Environmental Protection (Zambia)

Summary

The Ministry of Lands, Natural Resources and Environmental Protection (MLNREP) was created in early 2012 as part of a restructuring process of a number of government ministries. It was previously called Ministry of Lands, Energy and Water Development. The national REDD Coordination Unit (RCU), which is the focal point for REDD+ in Zambia, and the Forestry Department both sit within the MLNREP.
