Summary

This publication by Global Canopy Programme's REDD Desk gives information summarised from the most recent research from the REDD Desk's REDD Countries Database. This booklet reports on the state of REDD readiness in Peru, the Dominican Republic, Indonesia, Papua New Guinea, Tanzania and Kenya. It gives an overview of the context of REDD in each country and then summarises information on the key elements of REDD readiness: management and coordination; stakeholder engagement and participation; rights and tenure; compliance (incentives and enforcement); reference levels; safeguards; and MRV.
