Key findings and opportunities for REDD+ in Ecuador

Summary

In December 2011, a team of experts conducted an integrated assessment of REDD+ Readiness in Ecuador, evaluating the country’s infrastructure and policies surrounding all four technical areas of the FCMC program—Social and Environmental Soundness; Finance and Carbon Markets; Measurement, Reporting and Verification; and Low Emission Development Strategies. This document provides a summary of the assessment’s findings, including recommendations for USAID involvement in the REDD+ preparation process.
