Socio-Environmental Institute

Instituto Socioambiental

The Socio-Environmental Institute was established in 1994 to work on integrated solutions to social and environmental problems. ISA aims to defend social, indigenous and environmental rights and works in collaboration with other organisations working in the same area, such as the Ecumenical Documentation and Information Centre's Brazilian Indigenous Peoples' Programme and the Indigenous Rights Nucleus (NDI) of Brasília. ISA has been involved in REDD+ research, related to the involvement of indigenous communities in REDD+.
