National Community Forestry Programme Coordination Committee
The National Community Forestry Programme Coordination Committee (NCFPCC) consists of regional, provincial, and local community forestry networks, as well as government members and NGO representatives that are all active in areas where REDD+ projects are being implemented, or are considered to be implemented in the future. The NCFPCC was established to set the direction for activities to be taken for the National Community Forestry Programme as part of the National Forest Programme (NFP). It was also set up to ensure the National Community Forestry Programme was implemented based on information from the field, where the Committee was to function as an intermediary between forest communities, project implementers and the government. This network has been dormant for some time but community forest groups have called for the need to reactivate the Committee.
