Summary

The Centre for Conservation, Research and Management of Natural Areas (CIMA) is a Peruvian non-profit organisation founded in 2002 for the purpose of contributing to Peru’s nature conservation by lending support to the management of protected natural areas, providing scientific research and promoting the orderly use of natural resources in industry, to ensure sustainable development. CIMA focuses its activities in the San Martín region, actively participating in the REDD+ Roundtable from this region and leading the first technical team. Also, it is implementing a REDD + project in the “Parque Nacional Cordillera Azul” Protected Natural Area, which is located in four regions of Peru: San Martin, Ucayali, Huanuco and Loreto.
